You can export your locations as a CSV file anytime. Export everything, export only what your search and filters found, or export only the locations you tick. This is useful for backups, sharing with team members, or migrating to another tool.
How to export
Go to your Locations page
Click Export in the top right
A CSV file downloads with all your locations
The export includes all fields: name, address, phone, email, website, hours, filters, custom fields, coordinates, and visibility status.
Export only the locations you searched for
The Export button always tells you what it will download.
Search your locations, or open the Requires Fix tab
The button changes to Export 142 results, matching the number of locations on screen
Click it, and the file contains only those locations
To go back to exporting everything, clear the search. The button reads Export again.
Export only the locations you tick
Tick the checkbox next to any location
The button changes to Export 3 selected, and the same option appears in the Actions menu above the list
Click it, and the file contains only the ticked locations
The tickbox in the table header selects the locations on the current page. When more locations match than fit on one page, a Select all 142 link appears next to the selection count. Click it and the export covers every matching location, not only the page you are looking at.
Large exports arrive by email
Exports of more than 10,000 locations are prepared in the background. Instead of downloading straight away, we email a download link to the person who requested it. Everything else about the file is identical.
Using exports as a backup
Before doing any major import or bulk changes, always export first. If something goes wrong, you can re-import the export file to restore your data.
This is especially important before using the "Delete all previous locations" option during CSV import.
The file keeps a StoreRocket ID column, which is what lets you re-import it and update your existing locations instead of creating duplicates.
Exporting via Google Sheets
If you have Google Sheets connected, you can also sync your locations TO a spreadsheet:
Go to Google Sheets > Sync
Click Sync to Google Sheets
Your locations will populate in the linked spreadsheet
This keeps a live copy of your data in Google Sheets that you can reference or share.
