Typical sync times
The Google Sheets Sync Tool processes about 1,500 locations per minute. So:
100 locations: under a minute
1,000 locations: about 1 minute
5,000 locations: about 3-4 minutes
10,000 locations: about 7 minutes
Sync seems stuck?
If your sync has been running much longer than expected:
Check for template errors. The most common cause of a stuck sync is a formatting issue in your spreadsheet. Make sure column names haven't been changed, there are no merged cells, and the first row is the header.
Try unlinking and relinking. Go to Google Sheets Sync, click Unlink Spreadsheet, then set it up again. This resets the sync state.
Check your spreadsheet permissions. StoreRocket needs access to the spreadsheet. Make sure it hasn't been moved to trash or had sharing permissions changed.
Auto-sync not working?
If daily auto-sync is enabled but never fires on its own (manual sync works fine), try disabling auto-sync, saving, then re-enabling it. If it still doesn't work, reach out on live chat and we'll check the sync scheduler for your account.
After syncing
Once the sync completes, locations without coordinates will be geocoded in the background. This can take a few more minutes depending on how many new addresses need to be processed.
