Import custom fields via CSV or Google Sheets

Add custom data fields like Store Number or Manager Name to locations through import.

Updated yesterday

Custom fields let you store extra information on each location that doesn't fit the standard fields (like a store number, manager name, or product availability).

Column format

Add a column with this exact format:

Field: Store Number

Replace "Store Number" with your field name. The cell value is the data for that location.

Example CSV

name, address, Field: Store Number, Field: Manager
Store 1, 123 Main St, S001, John Smith
Store 2, 456 Oak Ave, S002, Jane Doe

Multiple fields

Add a separate column for each custom field. Each column header must start with Field: followed by the field name.

Auto-creation

If a field name doesn't exist in your project yet, StoreRocket creates it automatically during import.

Important notes

  • The column header format must be exact: Field: Name (with the space after the colon)

  • Field values can be any text

  • If a location doesn't have a value for a particular field, leave the cell empty

  • Works the same for both CSV import and Google Sheets sync

Custom fields vs search filters

  • Custom fields display information but can't be used for filtering/searching

  • Search filters let visitors filter locations by category

If you want visitors to be able to search by a value (like "Has Drive-Through"), use a filter instead.
