How do I prioritize some locations?

Learn how to make certain locations appear first in your store locator results using location type priority.

Updated over a week ago

You can prioritize specific locations by using Location Types Priority Sorting.

This allows you to show some locations before others, regardless of distance.

How does it work?

When Location Types Priority Sorting is enabled, locations are sorted by:

  1. Location type priority

  2. Distance from the user

Location type priority always comes first.

How do I prioritize locations?

  1. Go to Location Types

  2. Create the location types you need (for example: Flagship, Premium, Standard)

  3. Order the location types so the most important ones are at the top

  4. Assign a type to each location

  5. Go to Widget β†’ Settings

  6. Enable Location Types Priority Sorting

The changes apply immediately.

Example

A location with a higher priority type will appear before a location with a lower priority type, even if it is farther away.

If two locations have the same type, they are sorted by distance.
